Snakes and Lamb

The snake hid under a log and was hostile and hated the whole world. It is the nature of the snake to have nothing but hatred for the world.

A little goat came up the path. It was jumping up and down and humming a song. It didn't seem to know that there was a snake nearby. When the snake saw the kid, it crept out from under the log and bit the kid in its jaws. The poor lamb's eyes grew dim, his limbs grew weaker and weaker, and at last he began to breathe fast. Then the lamb opened his mouth and asked the snake: "I do not know what I have offended you. Why did you hurt me?" "Who knows? Perhaps you came here to crush me with your sheep-hoofs?" "I killed you to nip it in the bud."

"That's not true..." "Replied the lamb, but he died before he could finish his words.

In our life, we should be kind to others instead of making enemies with them. In this way, we can not only get along well with others, but also get rid of hatred and live a happier life.

蛇和小羊

蛇躲在一根木头下面，敌视并仇恨着整个世界。蛇除了憎恨这个世界，再也没有别的事情，它的天性就是这样。

小路上来了一只小山羊，它一边蹦蹦跳跳的，还一边哼着歌曲，看来它并不知道附近就有一条蛇。蛇看见小山羊，就立即从木头下面爬了出来，一口咬住了小山羊。可怜的小羊，它的眼神渐渐地黯淡下去了，四肢也越来越乏力了，后来，它呼吸急促起来。这时，小羊突然张口问蛇道：“我不知道我冒犯了你什么，你为什么要害我呢？” “谁知道呢？你上这儿来，也许是要用你的羊蹄把我踩个稀烂呢？ ” 蛇咝咝地答道， “我杀你是为了防患于未然。”

“不是这样的啊……” 小羊答道，可是小羊还没把话说完，就死去了。

在生活中，我们应该与人为善，而不应该与人为敌，这样不仅能够与他人友好相处，还能够让自己摆脱仇恨，生活得更快乐。
